AFN has a William SIMMONS born 1727 of Edgecombe NC, married Elizabeth and had kids William (b abt 1753 prob Edge), Agnes, Mary, Ann, Richard, Henry, Benjamin and John.

BIRTH: Eli age 35 born NC in 1850 (Pickens AL census 1850 p 62). Eli age 55 in 1860 (White AR census 1860 Liberty Township p 854). There is a Joseph Price in Edgecombe 1790 census with 1 male over 16, 1 male unders 16 and 2 females? Possible father is Irvin PRICE?

DEATH: between 1867 and 1870 (Eli plaintiff 22 Oct 1867, A W RICHARDSON adm for John MASSENGALE, asked to be dismissed. Eli does not appear on any 1870 census and kids are farmed out with siblings).

NOTES: there is an Eli PRICE enlisted 6 Jul 1861 of Halifax NC age 36 in I Company 8th Infantry Regiment NC?

There is an Elijah PRICE age 10 on 10 Oct 1800 Edgecombe NC bound in apprentice to Willis STALLINGS to learn to be a farmer (Edgecombe County Records).
