Elsa Jensen Frojd

BIRTH: also known as FREED/FROYD or Elise Frocid and Elsa Jonsson; also known as Elsa FROJDATTER.

MARRIAGE: Lars and Elsa wanted to get married, but friends, family, and the missionaries discouraged it because Lars was in frail health. They may have married in Liverpool, on the ship, or at Albany NY before starting west. The wagon train was led by Andrew Ole ANDERSON, his first of many trips leading saints west. During the trip he befriended Lars and Elsa. After Lars' death, Andrew provided food for the widow and children. On 22 May 1871 Elsa became Andrew's second wife. They were married in the Endowment House for time, and Elsa was sealed to Lars the same day.

DEATH: buried in Ephraim, Sanpete UT.

NOTES:

1864: Hans FROJD and sister Elsa FROJDATTER, children of Jens and Hannah FROJD, immigrated from Copenhagen in April on the "Monarch of the Sea." Hans was 18, Elsa 24, and Lars NIELSON was 22. They arrived in New York City in June; traveled by steamer to Albany NY; by train to St Joseph MO; by steamer up the Missouri River to Wyoming NB; then by wagon train to Salt Lake City arriving in September. They settled in Ephraim UT. Andrew Ole ANDERSON was the wagon train leader.

1859: entire family (except brother Kron) joined the church in Sweden. Who is brother Kron???

1870: WHERE??? Not with husband; can't find her children.
